    it would give you alot of leg muscles, your butt will stay the same

    It probably won’t make the muscles bigger, but it will tone them.

    riding bike is good cardio. which helps you burn fat all over. walking ios good, too. lifting heavy weight with your legs will make them bigger.

    If you’re a girl, you don’t really have to worry about bulking up with muscle. It will tone your muscles all over, legs, butt, etc.

    It will give you lean muscles, not bulky ones. My sister is a cyclist, and rides her bike about 50 miles a day and she looks great.

    I don’t know about your butt, but your calves will become muscular. You have to see The Triplets of Bellevue on DVD. It’s so funny, you’d like it. The music is cool too.

    It depends on the terrain, avoid hills and go fast to get the heart pumping and improve fitness. Long gentle rides over mixed terrain will burn the calories and heavy hills will build muscles.

    Cycling is an aerobic exercise. It’s high in calorie burn. It will get you slim and toned. Especially your legs. You’ll get toned leg definition but your butt will remain the same. It will get you slim and give you a great aerobic threshold. It’s not good for your stomach, it just helps you burn good calories and is part of the weight loss process. You’ll first notice the weight loss in your legs and arms. Enjoy, cycling is awesome!

    you want to be slimer??? :) yes, it will make your legs bigger
    it will make your butt firmer (and if you have no butt now, will get a bit bigger)
    how big your leg muscles get depends on how much you push yourself. you burn aprox. the same number of calories per distance travelled no matter your speed, so if you do a km (or mile) in six minutes, you will be pushing yourself less than if you do the same km in four minutes. you will take longer, and work your legs less, but burn just as many calories

    You should expect some muscle growth.

    I went from doing zero cycling to 10 hours a week, been doing it for a year now. My legs are more toned, but not noticeably bigger (I haven’t noticed anyway), perhaps my calves a slightly more muscular. I think if you push it really hard on the uphills your more likely to promote growth (just like in the gym, low reps/maximal force = muscle growth)

    I’ve found that if you do longer distance rides you end up with a slimmer physique like marathon runners.

    The cyclists that participate in track races have huge thighs and butts.

    So just like runners distance == slimmer
    speed === bigger muscles
